متن کاملOn Geometry, Topology, Cosmological Constant, Special and General Relativity
The complementary aspects of the geometric and topological structures of a mathematical space is pointed out. The same is used to get a deeper understanding of the much abused Cosmological Constant. This brings in its wake a consistent and physical understanding of what a ”test particle” in General Relativity really is. This helps us to also understand as to what one actually means when substit...
متن کاملVeblen on Projective Relativity 191 Veblen on Projective Relativity
This book by Professor Veblen is a result of a series of lectures given at the University of Göttingen during the summer of 1932. I t deals with that new aspect of the theory of relativity which is often called projective relativity on account of its relation to projective geometry. I t allows a unified theory of the gravitational and the electromagnetic field, and, though it is not referred to...
متن کاملFrobenius Manifolds, Projective Special Geometry and Hitchin Systems
We consider the construction of Frobenius manifolds associated to projective special geometry and analyse the dependence on choices involved. In particular, we prove that the underlying F-manifold is canonical. We then apply this construction to integrable systems of Hitchin type.
